Laurentia is a wine from Madison, Ohio with special varietals from the Grand River Valley. Laurentia is the name of an ancient land mass of North America. It was once covered by a thick layer of ice known as the Laurentide glacier. The glacier traveled south from Canada into the United States. As it retreated, it deposited a geologic bounty forming Ohio’s Grand River Region. Laurentia is also the name of a small star shaped flower.
